The only radio show that makes me yell back are Messianic Christians

The Christians on the radio talk all day about Jews and Palestinians, and Rice (which both sides love to devour).

"If we talk about handing over the land to Palestinians, we might as well give America back to the Indians."

What's so wrong with admitting we, collective nationalist we, were wrong?

What, O man of God, would the man of God do?

As a liberation theologian, he might say he comes to set all peoples free from both religious and political oppresion.

As a sociologist, he might note the danger of nationalism, the dissolving of national identity into globalisation, etcetera.

As a Jew, he might ponder on what makes a person a Jew? Ergo, what can make a territory Jewish?

If limited to his former teachings, he might say the kingdom of God is within you. Blessed are the peacemakers, the meek, the poor (and not just in spirit). Should your enemy kick you in the ribs, kiss his feet and anoint them with oil. Should a Muslim ask for your lands, should he seek to conquer, be the first to offer him your house, your coat, your pantries full of food. Be conquered. Where you place your treasure will show the confines and capacity of your heart. Become the least; abandon greatness. Seek not to gain the world, democratized, capitalized, resourced, globalized or not-- you'll misplace your soul on the way.

Love your enemies, and if they are not persecuting you, pray for yourselves, who are the persecutors.
